Fallout 4 News Rumors: Bethesda Pushing Hard to Get Previous Titles Back On Steam To Gear Up For New Game's Launch

Fallout developer Bethesda has been teasing the newest installment in the series "Fallout 4" for a while now. However, with all the hype about what's new in the post-apocalyptic world, now the company seems to want to set people's sights on the past.

Bethesda has announced that it is working to return classic "Fallout" titles to Steam following their recent disappearance. According to IGN, last month, the original Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics games were removed from Steam as a result of changes to the licensing agreements. It's worth noting that these changes will not affect anyone who has already purchased any of these games, but it does mean no one else can buy them for the time being.

With "Fallout 4's" existence confirmed, now is a bad time to not have all the previous games available for people to catch up. Thankfully, it seems Bethesda is confirming that it's working to return these titles to the Steam library as soon as possible.

"We're working to return classic @Fallout games (1, 2, Tactics) to Steam and will provide an update when they're ready to go" the company wrote on its official @Bethblog Twitter account.

IGN notes that, as of now, there is no information on when the game will return to GOG, as the account responded to a fan asking the question. The response simply said that Steam is the current priority at the moment.

Fallout 4, although confirmed to exist, has not been mentioned by name just yet. Leaked documents have revealed some of the first details about the game, for example the fact that it will take place in Boston Massachusetts. However, only references to previous titles indicate that it is the spawn of the "Fallout" franchise.
