Ireland lost their opening T20 World Cup match against underdog Oman on Wednesday. Batting first, Ireland posted 154 for five in 20 overs. In reply, opening batsmen Zeeshan Maqsood (38 off 33) and Khalid Ali (34 off 26) powered Oman to chase down 155 with two wickets and two balls to spare.

"It's very disappointing and hard to take, but to a large extent, it's still in our own hands. We didn't get it quite right today, but we've got to address it come Friday (against Bangladesh), and I think that's more mental than anything . . . as long as Oman lose a game, then it's still in our own hands," Ireland's skipper William Porterfield said.

"It'll come down to run-rate. We've got to win two games, but that is what it is - and we're going to have to keep an eye on it," he added.

Bangladesh, which began its World Cup campaign with an eight run victory over the Netherlands on Wednesday, is now looking to win its second game of qualifying round against Ireland.  Skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is keen to carry winning momentum.

"The win was definitely important. No excuses would have been good enough if we had lost. We have won, that's what's important. Winning a match is always comforting, regardless of the opposition," Mashrafe said.

The probable squads:

Bangladesh- Mashrafe Mortaza, Shakib Al Hasan, Abu Hider, Al-Amin Hossain, Arafat Sunny, Mahmudullah, Mohammad Mithun, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mustafizur Rahman, Nasir Hossain, Nurul Hasan, Sabbir Rahman, Soumya Sarkar, Tamim Iqbal, Taskin Ahmed, Imrul Kayes, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Muktar Ali, Shuvagata Hom

Ireland- William Porterfield, Andy Balbirnie, George Dockrell, Andy McBrine, Tim Murtagh, Kevin O'Brien, Niall O'Brien, Andrew Poynter, Stuart Poynter, Boyd Rankin, Max Sorensen, Paul Stirling, Stuart Thompson, Gary Wilson, Craig Young
