Sarah Palin revealed on Monday that she might run for Senate during the 2014 elections, but then quickly offered up Sen. Mark Begich as someone she'd rather see up for the seat.
"I've considered it, because people have requested me considering it," she told radio personality Sean Hannity on his show. "But I'm still waiting to see what the lineup will be and hoping that...there will be some new blood, new energy, not just kind of picking from the same old politicians in the state."
She mentioned to Hannity that she wants to provide aid to any aid she can.
"I, along with anybody, would have to say that I would do whatever I could to help," she added. "And, you know, if that was part of that help, then it would have to be considered."
According to the Washington Post, a recent poll on Republican inclinations showed that Alaska Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell and Sarah Palin would tie in a toss-up for primary Senate choice.
The Tea Party Leadership Fund-a relatively small organization- spearheaded the survey, and is said to have encouraged Palin to participate in the election come 2014.
Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell has publicly announced his bid, and is considered one of the top Republican candidates for a seat in the Senate.
Fellow Republicans took to Twitter to weigh in on the Palin deal, including strategist and ex-spokesperson for the National Republican Senatorial Committee Brian Walsh.
"Personally, I'll believe it when I see it," he posted. "She does a good job keeping her name out there on one thing or another though."
