'Two and a Half Men' Cast Changes: The Show Will Be Adding a Female Regular

The CBS-owned colossal ratings sitcom "Two and a Half Men" will be adding a new regular cast member to its upcoming season in the fall.

The series was recently renewed for an 11th season by the network and Deadline reports that a new female character will be introduced at the start of the new season.

The series was recently revamped a little bit after one of the show's key characters, Charlie Harper played by Charlie Sheen, was killed off two years ago after a tumultuous behind the scenes, yet still public, feud between Sheen and the show's creators.

This is the first thing that triggered the downward spiral of the once acclaimed actor. Sheen now stars in the FX owned sitcom "Anger Management."

In another casting change, Jake Harper, played by Angus T. Jones, will not be returning to the show's 11th season. Jones publicly ripped the show, calling it "filth" in an online video last year.

Deadline reports the new character will "bring in a major plot twist to the show." The girl, who is expected to be cast in her late teens or early 20s will show up at Walden Schmidt's (Ashton Kutcher) door looking for her father, the home's previous owner Charlie Harper.

This would not be too out of character for Harper's deceased persona as he spent much of the shows run as a womanizing bachelor. It would seem that she is in line to fill the void that will be left by Jones' departure just like Kutcher successfully did with Sheen.

There's no news yet as to who will be playing the new character but the role will surely be coveted by many young actresses as the show continues to be a ratings powerhouse.

With the change, the only series regular who has remained with the show from the beginning will be Alan Harper, played by Jon Cryer.
