Fox News Anchor Arrested For Not Cooperating With Airport Police

Fox news anchor Gregg Jarrett has been released from jail after getting arrested at a Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport bar for refusing to cooperate with airport police who were called to the scene, an airport official said.

Around 12:30 pm Wednesday, 59-year-old Jarrett was taken into custody at the Northern Lights Grill in the airport's main terminal, authorities said. According to the Associated Press, obstructing the legal process by interfering with a peace officer was the preliminary charge that Jarrett was booked into the Hennepin County Jail for.

The jail's website shows that Jarrett posted $300 bond and was released early Thursday.

After reports of an intoxicated man came in, officers were called to the scene.

According to the Associated Press, officers reported that Jarrett seemed intoxicated, acted belligerently and refused to follow their orders, Metropolitan Airports Commission spokesman Patrick Hogan said.

Records show he's due in court on June 6, according to UK MailOnline.

A Fox News spokeswoman, Irena Briganti, didn't immediately respond to an after-hours email from the AP seeking comment about the arrest at the airport bar. The bar is shown below in a picture supplied by RSP Architects.

Jarrett, who has two daughters with wife Catherine Kennedy Anderson, was granted a request for some time off from the network on May 12 citing "personal reasons," according to TV Newser.

"The Los Angeles-born broadcaster joined the Fox News Channel in November 2002," UK MailOnline reported.

"He is co-anchor of the weekend newscasts with Heather Childers and serves as a substitute anchor weekdays for America's Newsroom (in for Bill Hemmer), Happening Now (in for Jon Scott), and Studio B for (in for Shepard Smith)."

While serving as a legal analyst for both FNC and the Fox Business Network, Jarrett is also a correspondent for the network's one-hour documentaries.

The 59-year-old earned his law degree in 1980 from the University of California, Hastings College of Law.
