LeAnn Rimes and Brandi Glanville got into a feud on Mother's Day. The country star is now a stepmother to Mason and Jake, Brandi's sons with her ex (and LeAnn's current husband) Eddie Cibrian.
Rimes sent the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star a bouquet of flowers on Sunday, OMG Yahoo! reported.
The kind gesutre caused an all-out Twitter war of words between the two. After sending the flowers, Rimes responded to a follower who asked about the gift. Rimes told the fan that her gift had not been acknowledged by Glanville.
"This was actually the first acknowledgement of my gesture I was made aware of," Rimes told the fan. "I didn't see anything else sent to me. It wasn't for the 'thank you'. It was to just simply say Happy Mother's Day."
Glanville then responded and tweeted that she had in fact thanked Rimes for the flowers even though the two don't talk much.
Rimes and Glanville have had a rocky relationship ever since the country star reportedly broke up their marriage by having an affair with Glanville's husband. Rimes and Cibrian met on the Lifetime movie "Northern Lights" in 2009.
At the time Cibrian was still married to Glanville. Rimes was also married at the time to Dean Shermet. In an interview with Robin Roberts in 2010, Rimes said she had "no regrets" about having an affair with Cibrian.
"That's just not me. What happened is not who I am, period," Rimes told Roberts. "But I do know how much I love him. So I've always said I don't live my life with regret. I can't."
The affair quickly made headlines and became a very public controversy. Glanville was very vocal about the entire thing expressing her bitterness towards Rimes ad Cibrian.
Rimes has said they were just two people, who happened to married, and fell in love and no one was meant to get hurt.
