U.S. President Joe Biden delivers the State of the Union address during a joint meeting of Congress in the House chamber at the U.S. Capitol on March 07, 2024 in Washington, DC. Biden's campaign recently released the names of several pollsters who will be working on his campaign.

President Joe Biden's reelection campaign is beefing up their ranks with top pollsters, releasing a list of several new hires who are expected to lead data analysis efforts as the presumptive Democratic nominee gears up for the general election in November.

The team comprises both new and returning pollsters - many of whom have extensive experience within the Democratic Party.

"Team Biden-Harris is building infrastructure to put us on a path to victory this fall, and bringing together a battle-tested, world-class data and polling operation is an essential step," Mindy Myers, Biden's senior adviser of opinion research, told Politico.

Among those who will be returning, following work in the 2020 campaign, are Celinda Lake, Matt Barreto and Silas Lee.

Lake was one of Biden's two leading pollsters during the last election, along with  John Anzalone. Lake specializes in several demographics and touts her research on women voters as being especially effective.

Lee, a sociology professor at Xavier University in New Orleans, focused on Black voters during the 2020 race. Barreto, who focused on Hispanic voters in 2020, is a political science professor at the University of California Los Angeles.

New faces on the campaign include Geoff Garin, Jefrey Pollock, Molly Murphy and Brenda Lee, according to Politico.

While Garin did not work on Biden's previous campaign, he does have experience in presidential races. During the 2016 election, the veteran pollster worked for Democratic super PAC Priorities Action USA, which backed Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Pollock is a two-time winner of the bipartisan Pollster of the Year from the American Association of Political Consultants. He has worked with several high-profile candidates, including Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Governors Kathy Hochul and JB Pritzker.

Murphy previously worked as the lead polling advisor for the Democratic Congressional Campaign during the 2022 midterms and worked on Senator Kyrsten Sinema's 2018 Senate race.

Brenda Lee, who specializes in Black voters, also has previous experience working with the DCCC.
