Huawei launched the next version of its Mate-series smartphone Huawei Mate 9, on 3rd of November. The Mate family is popular for offering a big screen alternative and killer battery life at a good price. The latest Mate could be your next best big screen choice.

Mate 9 has launched on the stage in Munich. The latest mobile very much look like its predecessor i.e. the Mate 8. As the phone has a slightly rounded, wide, almost all-metal back with plastic panels at the top and bottom.

The highlight of the Huawei Mate 9 is its latest artificial intelligence feature that will learn the daily habits of the user, and then will perform like that. Huawei has also launched a new fitness tracker during the event, reports Indian Express.

The Mate 9 is coming with a 5.9-inch FHD display with 1080p of resolution and 373ppi. The colour saturation of the phone is 96 per cent with a high contrast of 1500:1.

It follows the same design style as the Huawei Mate 8 with a metal frame on the side, curved 2.5D glass on the front and a matte metal finish on the back. Adding to it the dimensions of the Mate 9 are 156.9 x 78.9 x 7.9mm which weighs 190g.

According to NDTV, the latest flag ship from Huawei is the limited edition Porsche Design model with the fingerprint scanner on front. The LED flash and laser autofocus sensors are also placed differently in the smartphone that is above and below the camera.

Mate 9 is the first phone in the company to sport the company's own Kirin 960 processor. The Mate 9 has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, while the Porsche Design version has an ostentatious 256GB storage and 6GB of RAM.

The flagship is featuring USB Type-C charger and a 4000mAh battery with, fingerprint Sensor, G-Sensor, Gyroscope sensor, Compass, Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity sensor, Hall sensor, Barometer and IR.

The latest smartphone will be available in the grey, silver and gold metallic finishes colours. And the Porsche Design phone will be available in one colour: sexy, smokey stealthy black.

Huawei still not confirmed about when the Mate 9 will go on sale, but it's likely to be at some point in the coming month. The special edition Porsche Design version is going to be sold in European Porsche Design stores from December, reports Pocket-Lint.

The starting of the cheapest regular Huawei Mate 9 is €699 i.e. approximately £630.
