Sophomore running back Mike Davis powered the offense on the ground with 1,134 yards and 11 touchdowns, and senior quarterback Connor Shaw added 2,135 yards and 21 touchdowns threw the air.
Wisconsin (9-3) had a lengthy string of wins snapped in the regular-season finale against Penn State. Although the Badgers fell short of a spot in the BCS championship, the team sees Wednesday's bowl game as an opportunity to finish the season on a strong note.
"We're not taking this game lightly at all," Wisconsin safety Dez Southward told the school website, via ESPN. "This is an enormous game. Just because it's not the Rose Bowl, just because it's not a BCS bowl game, it doesn't mean the opponent is not the same caliber. That's the case with South Carolina. They're above and beyond almost anybody we've played this year."
