It's been almost two months since the controversial season six finale of AMC's "The Walking Dead" sent fans into a vocal outrage that would make The Governor blush. Two months, and viewers are still trying to meticulously piece together who it was that Negan beat to death with his baseball bat during the season finale. While there is still no official confirmation on which character was killed off, we thought we'd help the process along by identifying which actors have been spotted on set in Georgia. This may not help solve the mystery, but it can't hurt, right?

Season seven officially began filming on May 2. On set that first day, we can confirm (thanks to The Waling Dead Enthusiasts and The Spoiling Dead Fans) that Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) was indeed present that day. However, it was expected that every actor from the lineup would be present on set to at least finish shooting that fateful death scene.

Actors rumored to be filming that day include Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan), Steven Yeun (Glenn), Lauren Cohan (Maggie) and Christian Serratos (Rosita).

On May 4, The Spoiling Dead Fans reported that the cliffhanger death (season 7, episode 1) would be filmed that night at Raleigh Studios. Additional scenes for the lineup sequence and that episode would continue to be filmed on through May 12.

Filming has continued throughout the month of May, but with one catch. Much of the shooting from the past few weeks has taken place in studio, which means that spies and looky-loos haven't been able to get any inside information.

On May 12, it was reported that filming was move back to the Gin Property, which serves as the Alexandria Safe Zone, in the near future. Rumors suggested that every member of the lineup, including the unfortunate victim, would be present for this scene. This may or may not be a dream sequence, though, which muddies the veracity of the report.

In mid-May, Lincoln, Norman Reedus (Daryl), Yeun, Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha) and Alanna Masterson (Tara) were all seen filming. Later, Reedus was reported to be filming with Negan, Dwight and other Saviors, suggesting that he is taken captive at some point. Hey, that's better than getting your head smashed in with a bat, right?

Based on all of this information, we still don't have a clear idea of who it was that Negan killed in the season finale. But it looks like we can eliminate a few possibilities.

"The Walking Dead" will return for a seventh season in October.
