Ever since season six of AMC's "The Walking Dead" concluded, everyone's attention has been consumed by the looming hanger, and rightfully so. "The Walking Dead" finally introduced Jeffrey Dean Morgan as fan favorite comic book villain Negan but decided to buck the source material and not reveal who was on the receiving end of his baseball bat, Lucille. Now, we have an entire offseason of rampant speculation, fan theories and utter frustration.

But one aspect of the season finale that isn't being discussed much is the men that Carol and Morgan met following the former's unfortunate run-in with a trigger-happy Savior. Bullet ridden and bleeding, Carol and Morgan were offered help by two mysterious men decked out in battle armor.

Who were these guys? While we don't have any official confirmation, The Spoiling Dead Fans have a pretty good idea.

The armor clad men that came to Carol's rescue bear a striking resemblance to members of The Kingdom from "The Walking Dead" comic book. In the source material, The Kingdom is a peaceful (more or less) society of survivors led by the pet tiger-keeping Ezekiel.

Thanks to previous spoilers - actually, inept social media use by "The Walking Dead's" own account - we're pretty confident that Ezekiel will be introduced in the upcoming seventh season. As such, it would make sense that Morgan and Carol are now with him at The Kingdom while Rick and company are being tormented by Negan and The Saviors.

As Tom Payne's Jesus said in season six, "your world is about to get a whole lot bigger." That statement will now extend to this new civilization that should be incorporated into the greater storyline. Lucky for our heroes, there shouldn't be too much animosity or violence between the two groups. Despite proclaiming himself king of the post-apocalyptic wasteland and owning a pet tiger, Ezekiel is a kind and intelligent man. Perhaps The Kingdom will team up with the Alexandria Safe Zone against Negan, though the villain may still be around past season seven.

"The Walking Dead" will return to AMC in October.
