The 2013 Heisman Trophy will be awarded on Saturday. The show begins at 8 p.m. ET. Watch the live stream via the link provided below.
The 2013 finalists: QB Jordan Lynch (Northern Illinois University), QB Johnny Manziel (Texas A&M), RB Tre Mason (Auburn), QB AJ McCarron (Alabama), RB Andre Williams (Boston College), QB Jameis Winston (Florida State).
Many project Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston to win the Heisman on Saturday. The redshirt freshman lived up to expectations and helped Florida State (13-0) earn a spot in the BCS championship game against Auburn.
Despite gaudy numbers, there's still the question of whether the sexual assault allegations will hurt him in the Heisman voting. Winston was cleared of any wrongdoing, although on Friday the attorney for the accuser called for the original investigation to be examined.
Former Dallas Cowboys running back and 1976 Heisman winner Tony Dorsett doesn't believe the negative publicity will hurt Winston's reputation.
"This is a forgiving public that we live in," Dorsett said, via USA Today Sports. "Since his slate was wiped clean, I don't see any problems with it, but this was a valuable learning experience for him. And it shouldn't just be a learning experience for him, but for all athletes. They should understand they have to be careful with what you do, how you do it, and who you do it with.
"Everybody's going to want to be around this guy, and the other five Heisman finalists, too. But you gotta learn how to say no, and you gotta understand that you have to say no and mean it."
