Porn Actor Tests Positive for HIV Update: Star Went Entire Month without Being Tested for STIs, Wanted to Book Shoots Following Diagnosis?

The porn industry called another moratorium recently after a veteran porn star tested positive for HIV. This is the third moratorium this year. The Free Speech Coalition has not released that star's gender or name but Radar Online is reporting that it's a male actor.

According to the site, the actor went the entire month of November without getting tested for any STIs, including HIV. Sources told Radar that the man was last tested on Oct. 25 and didn't get his next one until Dec. 3. According to the Performance Availability Screening Services, porn stars are required to get tested every two weeks.

There were reports that the man wasn't working during November and that's why he wasn't tested but regulations require that the stars are cleared 14 days prior to shooting. As of right now there is no evidence that says the actor who tested positive contracted the illness in or outside of the industry.

Since getting the positive results the actor has reportedly been tested again by Cutting Edge Testing which confirmed that the man did in-fact have HIV. However, the industry didn't shut down until three days after the actor's diagnosis.

According to Radar, the man was still trying to book porn shoots following his diagnosis and even solicited another industry actress to shoot a webcam video with him. According to blogger Mike South, the unidentified man was texting a woman and "suggested that they do a webcam show together on Dec. 7."

Reportedly the woman told him she was booked for Saturday but Sunday would be better. The man agreed. Mike South also claims the man was also an escort.

"I have also seen an escort ad that would indicate that he was escorting as well," the website said.

It was reported that the actor who tested positive was considered a "crossover" performer and worked with both male and female stars.
