Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka in the tenth Twenty20 International of Asia Cup 2016 at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka on Friday.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka lost their chances to move ahead in the tournament as both sides won only one match out of three. However, they are eyeing victory in their last match of the Asia Cup in order to get back to winning ways ahead of the Twenty20 World Cup, which is all set to begin on March 8.

Bangladesh dashed Pakistan's hope to play in the final after successfully chasing down a modest target of 130 on Wednesday night. Now, the Tigers will face India in the Asia Cup final on Sunday, March 6 at same venue. The Mashrafe Bin Mortaza-led side chased down Pakistan's target of 130 with five wickets and five balls in hand.

Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi admitted the squad made many mistakes. "I want to congratulate India and Bangladesh for qualifying for the final. We made too many mistakes. It wasn't a good total, but the bowlers did superbly," he said.

India defeated Sri Lanka by five wickets on Tuesday night shattering the Angelo Mathews-led side's hope to stay in hunt for a place in continental championships final. Batting first, Sri Lankans had managed to score a modest total of 138. The Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led side comfortably chased down the target with four balls remaining. Virat Kohli again shined with his bat as he hit an unbeaten 56.

"It's quite damaging, especially for the confidence level and the morale. You can't keep losing, it's difficult to digest. We haven't played our best yet and the most worrying thing is that we haven't clicked as a batting order. So close to the World T20, we have to connect the dots together and maybe try a few combinations," Sri Lankan skipper Angelo Mathews said in a post match conference.
