India will take on United Arab Emerites in the eighth Twenty20 International of the Asia Cup 2016 at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka on Thursday.

India has won three out of three Asia Cup T20s it played while UAE has yet to open its account. India, which has already sealed a place in the final with three back-to-back wins, is now looking to dominate over winless UAE.

India entered the Asia Cup final after beating Sri Lanka by five wickets on Tuesday night. Batting first, Sri Lankans had managed to score a modest total of 138. The Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led side comfortably chased down the target with four balls remaining. Virat Kohli again shined with his bat as he hit an unbeaten 56.

"Touchwood, it's coming out nicely now. It was another crunch situation (against Sri Lanka) as we were 16 for 2 in the fourth over. It's nice to challenge yourself and I am happy to do that for the team," Kohli said. "Nuwan Kulasekara and Angelo (Mathews) were bowling well. I knew I'm striking the ball well, so I have to take the pressure off the other batsman by hitting the odd boundary, but it has to be a cricketing shot."

United Arab Emirates, which entered into main rounds of tournament after winning all three qualifying games, remained winless in main rounds. After UAE lost its third Asia Cup match against Pakistan, skipper Amjad Javed admitted that his side lacks experience.

"I think what took the game away from us was down to experience. They are a top Test team and have won World Cups and have players who regularly play at the top level so that's a big difference between them and us," Javed said.
