India chased down the target with five wickets in hand. Virat Kohli (49) was the top-scorer for India.

The U.A.E. stormed into the main rounds of the Asia Cup after winning all three qualifying games, ending hopes for Afghanistan, Oman and Hong Kong. However, the Amjad Javed-led side lost their first two matches of the Asia Cup. Sri Lanka defeated the U.A.E. by a 14-run in both sides' first Asia Cup match on Thursday. Bangladesh also registered a comprehensive 51-run win over the U.A.E. in a low-scoring encounter on Friday, according to ICC Cricket.
