Montana Woman Who Allegedly Pushed Husband Off a Cliff Says She Shoved Newlywed Away by Instinct in Testimony

The Montana woman who allegedly pushed her newlywed husband off a cliff and killed him said that she shoved him away by instinct during an argument.

22-year-old Jordan Linn Graham appeared in court on Friday, where she testified that the man she'd been married to for eight days before his death grabbed her arm during a fight, which led her to reflexively shove him off of her. She also stated that an FBI agent who questioned her concerning Cody Johnson's death put his hand suggestively on her knee during the interview.

Graham has been charged with murder in the case of Johnson's July 7 death, according to the Associated Press. Prosecutors claimed that she was second-guessing her marriage to Cody Johnson, and during a trip to Glacier National Park, Graham pushed Johnson in rage.

Lawyers previously surmised that Jordan Graham wrapped a piece of cloth around Cody's face to blindfold him, then allegedly shoved him off the ledge. The piece of fabric found near the site of the crime was sent to a DNA lab for testing, and lawyers on both sides are currently awaiting the results.

Prosecutors have requested a delay on Graham's Dec. 9 trial date. Graham's defense team has said that the "blindfold theory" wasn't submitted to the grand jury, and it was never mentioned in the charging documents. They're also requesting that the judge drop the first degree murder charge, since police reportedly did not record an hour and a half's worth of interrogation during Graham's initial questioning. They have also said that investigators manipulated her statements.
