Dead Baby Found Cemented in Plastic Tub at Couple’s Missouri Home (VIDEO)

A gruesome discovery was made at a Pleasant Hills, Mo. home on Monday night. According to the Daily Mail, police were called to the home after receiving a report about a stolen car. They allegedly found the stolen vehicle parked outside the house and asked the man if they could search the rest of the property.

It was then that police discovered a plastic tub filled with concrete. They learned that the tub contained a baby that was either stillborn or had died at birth.

"During the course of that investigation, it led us not only to the stolen auto and to some minor drug paraphernalia and drugs, but it also led us to a capsule that we believed contained a body of an infant that had possibly been born sometime in the first part of October," Chief Robert Driscoll told Fox4 News.

Authorities are reportedly trying to determine if a crime had been committed and are waiting until the autopsy results before filing any charges. Some of the neighbors told Fox4 that they had suspected something strange was going on at the home but didn't expect it was anything like that.

One neighbor, Kurt Brent, told the station that three months ago he asked the man if the woman was pregnant but he denied it.

"I said man-to-man, I said, 'You don't have to lie to me, is your old lady and you expecting a baby and is she pregnant?' And he goes, 'No, man, not pregnant. I promise we're not pregnant," Brent said.

Other neighbors said the woman had not been seen for a while and they were beginning to worry about her. According to the Daily Mail, she has been in the hospital for the past couple weeks. Police also discovered that the couple has four other children who are now staying at their grandparent's house.

"There's no reason that a baby should be put in placement of concrete in a tub," Brent continued. "That's not a proper burial and that's not what we all stand for."
