From railroads to the chorus, a conductor is a conductor. Conductor Bob McDonough found an impressive group of passengers on his train Friday night, the Yale Glee Club. And when Conductor Bob asked them to sing, sing they did, according to ABC News, giving a "free" concert to McDonough and the other passengers on the Metro-North train on its way back to New Haven, Conn.

"I'm the conductor, let me conduct," McDonough said on a video recorded by glee club member Greg Suralik, according to FOX News. Suralik posted the impromptu set on Facebook.

The group is then seen on video breaking into the "Carol of the Bells," delighting a grinning McDonough.

Glee club president Dan Rubins said they also performed for passengers waiting for their trains at Grand Central Station in New York City.

Suralik shared the video with Conductor Bob, who uploaded it on his own Facebook page along with the message, "Not only did I have the Yale Glee Club riding my train into NYC on Friday, but later that night they were on my train back home to New Haven."

"I told them I was a conductor, so I must conduct...and somehow they bought it. Did I mention they go to YALE?" McDonough continued, according to the Daily Mirror.  "Thank you to Greg Suralik (class of '17) and Nolan Crawford, for recording and emailing your videos to me."

Not to be outdone, the glee club shared McDonough's video with a return message, reading, "A HUGE thank you to Bob McDonough for making Saturday's return to New Haven the best train ride the Yale Glee Club's ever had. Happy Holidays from everyone at the Yale Glee Club!"
