California quarterback Jared Goff could be the first quarterback taken in the 2016 NFL Draft, and some expect him to be taken by the Chicago Bears, according Dane Brugler of CBS Sports.

Goff is a junior quarterback that has improved with every season in college. Last year for the Golden Bears, Goff threw for 3,973 yards and 35 touchdowns. California is undefeated through four games, and Goff just lead them to a big win over Pac-12 North rival Washington, 30-24.

Many see Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook as the first quarterback that will be taken in the 2016 NFL draft, but others think Goff's football intelligence is off the charts, and that's what will make him the top quarterback.

Goff is 6-foot-4, 215 pounds and fits the prototypical NFL quarterback mold, but some worry about his physical tools. Some believe that Goff will have trouble transitioning from a college spread system to the NFL drop back system, but others point to Marcus Mariota dealing with the same transitional issue, according to Bleacher Report.

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is under contract through 2020, and some think Chicago will try to work a way out of that deal. Cutler suffered a hamstring injury in Week Two, and the Bears fell to 0-3 with quarterback Jimmy Clausen starting this past week.

The Bears need help all around, as both their defense and offense look like it needs a total overhaul. The Bears have talent with Matt Forte, Alshon Jeffery, and injured Kevin White, but due to injuries and poor play, Chicago hasn't produced on the field.

Goff and the Golden Bears will play Washington State Saturday, and he will need to continue to produce if he is to stay at the top of draft boards.
