Ohio State's defensive lineman Joey Bosa has NFL scouts drawing comparisons of him with Washington Redskins' Ryan Kerrigan, according to Charlie Campbell of walterfootball.com.

Bosa was suspended for Ohio State's opener against Virginia Tech for violating a department of athletics policy. In his sophomore season last year, Bosa was a major factor in their National Championship run. Bosa had 13.5 sacks and 21.5 tackles for loss last season with the Buckeyes.

The highly sought defensive lineman has picked up where he left off last season and has already recorded a half a sack and 2.5 tackles for loss. Ohio State and Bosa will face Western Michigan this weekend, and the Buckeyes will likely be ready for their opponent, as they barely got by Northern Illinois last week.

Bosa is seen as a great prospect that has a burst speed off the snap and can turn the corner quickly around offensive linemen. The top defensive lineman has great hands at shedding blocks and will likely be on many teams draft boards come May.

Bosa has NFL scouts drawing a comparison with him and Ryan Kerrigan, and that is a great compliment as Kerrigan has been a force since entering the league in 2011. Kerrigan has 38.5 sacks in four seasons and two games with the Redskins. Any team would likely be happy with this production, and that is likely why Bosa is projected so high in mock drafts.

Bosa goes as high as number two on mock drafts for the 2016 NFL Draft, according to walterfootball.com. If Bosa continues to dominate this season, it would not be surprising if he were a top five pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
