Justin Bieber offered his condolences to the family of the paparazzo that was killed trying to take a photo of Bieber's Ferrari, reports aceshowbiz.com.
"While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim," the Canadian singer said in a statement, according to aceshowbiz.com. "Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves."
Miley Cyrus tweeted about the incident involving the Canadian singer and agreed with Bieber about the safety tips.
"Hope this paparazzi/JB accident brings on some changes in '13 Paparazzi are dangerous! Wasn't Princess Di enough of a wake up call?!" Cyrus tweeted.
She further spoke in favor of Bieber calling it "unfair for anyone to put this on to Justin's conscious."
"Your mom teaches u when your a child not to play in the street! The chaos that comes with the paparazzi acting like fools makes it impossible for anyone to make safe choices," she said.
The accident occurred when the paparazzo was hit by a Toyota Highlander while trying to take pictures of Bieber's white Ferrari. Later the car was stopped by the California Highway Patrol for speeding and it was found that the singer was not in the car, but his friend was driving.
After the accident the paparazzo was taken to a close by hospital and announced dead at 6.20 P.M.
