Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon will be making pre-draft visits to the Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars. Gordon and Georgia tailback Todd Gurley are considered the top two running backs in this year's draft class and both have a shot of breaking the NFL's two year streak without a back being selected in the first round.

Both the Cowboys and Jaguars are logical landing spots for Gordon. Dallas is looking at life without DeMarco Murray and it doesn't look so good. Yes, the team has Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar on the roster. But Randle has been arrested twice in the last five months and Dunbar has just 80 career carries in three seasons. Neither should be counted upon in 2015.

The Jags, meanwhile, got practically nothing from 2014 free agent signing Toby Gerhart. Former Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson provided an impressive spark in the backfield midseason before going down with an injury. But his slight frame is not suited for a heavy workload and the Jags want to take pressure of second-year quarterback Blake Bortles

The Cowboys hold the 27th and 60th picks in the first two rounds of the NFL draft while the Jaguars hold the third and 36th. Is it possible that one of them will snag Gordon in that range? His college production certainly paints a positive picture for him.

Gordon rushed for 4,915 yards and averaged 7.8 yards-per-carry in his college career. He totaled a jaw-dropping 2,587 yards and 29 touchdowns on the ground for the Badgers last year.
