The "50 Shades of Grey" movie crossed the $500 million dollar mark at the international box office, reports say. 

The resque movie, staring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, brought in $150 million in revenue from the U.S. and and additional $352 million in international theaters.

When "50 Shades of Grey" debuted on Valentine's Day weekend, the movie became the highest grossing Valentine's Day release ever, as well as the studio's highest-grossing day ever, reported The Wrap.

These high numbers are also a win for women, as it helped Director Sam Taylor-Johnson reclaimed the title of the woman director with the largest opening weekend. 

"50 Shades of Grey" has also become Universal's third highest-grossing opening ever behind the studio's "Fast Five" and "Fast & Furious 6," reported The Wrap.
