In a brand new list, Zimbio has named Rihanna the most influential celebrity online. The sexy songstress edged past teen heartthrob Justin Bieber to claim the top spot.

Not only does the "Stay" singer have over 71 million Facebook fans—the most of any celeb—and over 29 million Twitter followers, she is super active on all social platforms. Whether she's tweeting scantily-clad selfies or fun backstage pics, RiRi is never scared to share. She's also the most-viewed star on YouTube with 3.79 billion music video views.

Taking the number two spot on the list is Justin Bieber who holds the record for most Twitter followers with a total of over 40 million. Bieber surpassed Lady Gaga, who clocked in at just over 38 million followers before shutting down her account on July 9.

The pop star has been quiet on Twitter following her hip surgery earlier this year, but followers were still stunned when mother monster removed her profile picture and changed her bio to: "This interface has been shut down temporarily. Please check back for updates."

Despite the deletion, Gaga still came in at number three on Zimbio's list, followed by fellow female musicians Katy Perry, Shakira and Taylor Swift.

Swift, who is known for tweeting pics of her charming vintage style and adorable kitten Meredith, was also named the social media star to look out for. She's currently averaging 37,000 new followers a day—a celebrity Twitter record.

Rounding out the top 10 were Britney Spears, Lil Wayne, soccer star Christiano Ronaldo and music mogul Justin Timberlake.

Other notable social media users included Miley Cyrus and Snoop Lion, who were named the most active stars on Twitter and Instagram respectively. Cyrus tweets an average of 22 times a day and Snoop Lion has nearly 3,000 posts on the picture sharing app.
