Colorado authorities are investigating the deaths of three people found fatally shot inside a home in Adams County on Wednesday morning, The Denver Post reported.

Sheriffs arrived at the home outside of Denver after receiving a call from a distressed woman at around 7:20 a.m., Commander Terrance O'Neill told the newspaper.

"A call came in from a hysterical female who said there was a disturbance at the home and hung up immediately," O'Neill said. "We have a person of interest we are looking for."

A woman who was in the area, Sheri Catalina, said she heard arguing before the shootings.

"A man and a woman were arguing outside," she told The Denver Post.

Dozens of sheriffs were seen canvassing the home on Cragmore Street and collecting evidence with metal detectors, CBS Denver reported.

The victims have not been identified and police have not released the name of the person of interest, who was apparently seen in a black, hard-topped Jeep Wrangler. Police are asking the public to be on the look out for the vehicle.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in a white shirt and black sweatpants, CBS Denver reported.
