During a search of the Los Angeles apartment that belonged to reality star Stephanie Moseley and her husband Earl Hayes, police allegedly found a large pile of marijuana. According to TMZ, there was so much weed in the house an armed guard had to keep watch as it was loaded up and brought to a police lab.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that nearly 10 pounds of high grade weed was found inside, totaling an estimate of around $40,000. On Monday morning police found Moseley and Hayes dead inside their apartment from a suspected murder-suicide.
It's believed that the rapper shot and killed Moseley while she was taking a bath and then committed suicide in their bedroom. According to reports, neighbors said they heard the couple arguing over infidelity accusations.
Hayes believed his wife, who starred on VH1's "Hit the Floor," was having an affair with singer Trey Songz. Sources told TMZ that Moseley and Songz allegedly hooked up two years ago when she and Hayes had separated.
Friends close to the couple said that Hayes and Moseley eventually got back together but he "was crushed and never got over it." Reportedly, Hayes was constantly bringing up Songz's name during arguments and thought the two were still fooling around.
According to reports, Hayes also suspected Moseley was cheating with other famous rappers. Songz has remained silent on the allegations but did tweet his condolences Monday afternoon, shortly after news broke of Moseley's death.
"R.I.P. babygirl. Once an angel on earth, now watching over us from Heaven. You'll b missed but never forgotten. Love," he wrote.
Autopsies for Moseley and Hayes are scheduled for later this week.
