More details are emerging in the deaths of rapper Earl Hayes and his wife, VH1 star Stephanie Moseley. The couple was found dead in their Los Angeles apartment Monday morning after neighbors told police that they heard a woman screaming followed by gunshots.

It's believed that Hayes shot and killed Moseley, who appeared on the reality show "Hit the Floor," and then committed suicide. Neighbors in the complex told police that Hayes was upset because he believed Moseley was cheating on him. Sources told TMZ that the rapper was convinced his wife was having an affair with Trey Songz.

According to the site, Hayes and Moseley separated two years ago and that's when she supposedly hooked up with the "SmartPhones" singer. Friends close to the couple told TMZ that the two eventually got back together but Hayes "was crushed and never got over it."

Reportedly, he would often bring up Songz' name in arguments and he believed that the two were still hooking up. Hayes also thought there were other rappers that Moseley was cheating with, TMZ reports.

Songz hasn't responded to the allegations but did express his condolences over Moseley's death.

"R.I.P. babygirl. Once an angel on earth, now watching over us from Heaven. You'll b missed but never forgotten. Love," he tweeted.

According to the Los Angeles Times, autopsies for both Hayes and Mosley should be conducted later this week. On Tuesday, VH1 released a statement about Moseley's death, saying, "VH1 and the entire 'Hit the Floor' family send our thoughts and condolences to her family and friends in this difficult time."

Model Eva Marcille Pigford told KTLA that the couple had typical relationship issues but she was shocked things turned so violent.

"Stephanie was an absolute angel. She really was," Pigford said. "She brought so many people into my life. She's connected so many people. She's just loved. She will never, ever, ever, ever be forgotten."
