Five dead bodies were found in a Springville home, Utah, Saturday, police said.
The bodies of a man and a woman along with three deceased children were found at 8 in the evening at their duplex house. No evidence of violent attack was found, according to the Springville police, who are yet to determine cause of the deaths.
The deceased were identified Sunday as Benjamin Strack, 37, his wife, Kristi, 36, and three of their children, Benson, 14, Emery, 12, and Zion, 11.
Springville police spokesperson Lt. Dave Caron, said that firefighters found no trace of carbon monoxide on the scene. However, the investigators have not yet ruled that out as the cause of death.
"Right now there's no known cause of death," Caron said, reports CBS News. "There's nothing obvious," he added.
About foul play, Caron told The Associated Press, "I don't rule out anything ... We haven't ruled out anything except there was no violent trauma. We're going to look at everything.
"I do know when I was in there (house) I didn't see anything that would suggest a struggle ... I saw nothing like that," he added.
Preliminary autopsy results ruled out any sort of violent assault. "The Medical Examiner has indicated that the next step is to continue the investigation through analysis of blood samples to determine what may have caused the deaths," the Springville DPS said in a statement, reports CNN.
One of the relatives of the family claimed to have spoken with them Saturday morning. Officials said that the bodies were found when the same person decided to visit the family's home on Saturday night.
