R&B singer August Alsina remains hospitalized after waking up from a three day coma. The 22-year-old was taken to a New York City hospital after he fainted and fell off stage during a concert last Monday. Alsina told his fans, via an Instagram post, that he was doing better and he appreciated all the love and support.

"This is a bit graphic but I wanted to share this w/every follower of mine. iwoke up out of a 3 day coma... &This guy @banggang_moneyteam right here never once left my side. what I'm tryna say is cherich the ones in life who cherish you & take good care of yourself. your life can be gone in a split second. I'm recovering well and thankyou for all your prayers & concerns," he wrote, including a photo of himself in a hospital bed with a bandage on his head and an oxygen mask on his face.

Alsina's rep confirmed to TMZ that the singer was placed in a medically-induced coma on Tuesday and is on a breathing machine.

"Struggling to catch his breath but I know ma YUnGIN gon b good! #STRUGlife #BGMTrDIE #TESTIMONY #RELIGIOSpeciesAROUNDourNECKS #SOweWELLprotected #AUGgonMAKEitHOME," Alsina's friend posted on Instagram.

The "No Love" singer was performing at Irving Plaza on Sept. 15 when his body appeared to go limp and he fell off the stage. The incident was caught on camera and posted on social media. Earlier in the week, the singer's rep told TMZ that Alsina had suffered "multiple seizures" while in the hospital.

Reportedly, doctors did not find drugs - other than marijuana - in his system and they believe he passed out because of dehydration and exhaustion."

Alsina was wrapping up his first solo tour "Testimony Live" when he fell ill.
