Anges Bruckner Portrays Anna Nicole Smith in Lifetime Biopic ‘Anna Nicole’

27-year-old Agnes Bruckner will portray the famous pop icon Anna Nicole Smith in Lifetime's new biopic movie 'Anna Nicole,' USA Today reports.

The movie will follow Vickie Lynn Hogan (Smith's real name) as a Texas high school dropout who goes from working as a bar dancer to marrying the much older millionaire, J. Howard Marshall. The movie will also focus on Smith's time posing for Playboy, her financial troubles after her husband died and the launch of her reality show as well as Smith giving birth to her daughter.

The movie will portray Smith's life up until her death in a Florida hotel room from a prescription drug overdose in 2007.

Bruckner, who has had roles in "The Craigslist Killer" and "Private Practice," will star along with Martin Landau, Virginia Madsen, Adam Goldberg and Cary Elwes.

Bruckner told the New York Daily News that in order for her to pull off the role she had to wear a lot of prosthetics and wear heavy makeup.

"There would literally be six different people slaving over me, pulling, pushing and yanking different parts," she told the paper.

She also said she would spend hours looking at interviews and footage of Smith so she could accurately portray the model and actress.

"We spent a lot of time in the makeup trailer, looking up information about her, looking at interviews where she was wacked out and interviews where she was normal," Bruckner told the Daily News. "Doing this project I really did become protective over Anna Nicole. What we're trying to show is a completely vulnerable side of her, a very loving and human side."

'Anna Nicole' will premiere on Lifetime on June 29.
