Kelly Rowland broke down in tears as she performed her latest single "Dirty Laundry" according to the Huffington Post.
The emotional confession was performed at a concert in Washington, DC on Sunday. The singer sat in a stool and was encouraged by the crowd as she wept singing the lyrics: "He pulled me out, he said, 'Don't nobody love you but me/ Not your mama, not your daddy and especially not Bey'/ He turned me against my sister/ I missed ya."
The song off Rowland's highly-anticipated album "Talk A Good Game" shocked the world when the former Destiny's Child member admitted to be in an abusive relationship that tore her a part from her best friend and band-mate Beyonce Knowles-Carter.
The performance was paused and Rowland took a minute to shed a few tears, while the crowd chanted the singers name to which she looked up, smiled, and continued her performance.
According to MStars News, the singer explained her break down to 93.9, a local D.C radio stations.
"It's really weird when you take yourself in front of a crowd. Even in that moment of when I put my feet up, I felt like I was in therapy. I was singing and talking about what happened, and for a moment, it was like that crowd wasn't even there," she said. "And then when the music stopped.... I was like "You are live Kel, calm down,' and I had to calm down. And then I had to breathe. You get lost and it's nothing wrong with getting lost. But that was weird. I felt like I could do that with D.C."
Despite reports that there is animosity between Rowland and her "sister" Beyonce, the friendship continues to flourish. The two joined forces along side Michelle Williams on her new single "You Changed." To listen to the track click here.
