Mother Finds Teenage Daughter And 2 Sons Shot Dead In Texas Home

A Texas mother came home to a horrific scene on Tuesday when she found her daughter and two sons dead in what police say appears to be a murder-suicide.

Police arrived at the gruesome crime scene in the city of Stafford after 2 p.m. in response to a 911 call from a woman screaming "her baby was dead," the Houston Chronicle reported. The woman's teenage daughter and two sons were found shot to death inside the home on Venice Circle. The bodies were found in different rooms.

Police also recovered several rifles and pistols from the home. Ballistics tests are being conducted to determine if any of the guns were used to commit the murders.

"It is apparently a murder-suicide type of dispute," Stafford Police Department Lieutenant James Leedom told the newspaper.

The victims have been identified as 23-year-old Faheem Mughal; 18-year-old Fahad Mughal; and Rebecca Mughal, 15.

A fourth sibling who is in her 20s was at a class at Houston Community College at the time of the deaths, police said.

Investigators do not yet know what occurred in the moments before the siblings were killed or which one shot the others. There was no sign of forced entry into the brick home. The motive also remains unknown.

"It's an active investigation and they are processing the scene," Leedom told the Houston Chronicle.

Neighbors gathered behind the police tape outside the crime scene. Several could not believe the bloodshed that occurred inside the quiet family's home.

"There was never any arguing," Larry Rangel, who lives next door, told the newspaper. "There was never any yelling- nothing."

"I was scared. It's socking that this happened," Lauren Garza, who went to Stafford High with Fahad Mughal, told the newspaper. "You don't wake up expecting this to happen to someone you know."
