Actor Michael Jace was arrested on May 19 for allegedly fatally shooting his wife, April Jace. According to TMZ, "The Shield" star shot his wife during a domestic dispute over money in their California home. Reportedly neighbors called the cops when they heard gun shots but the actor made his own 911 call telling police, "I shot my wife."

According to TMZ, he stayed on the phone until LAPD arrived at the scene. The site also reports that the couple's two young children were home at the time and witnessed the shooting. 1. Jace is best known for his role as Detective Lowe on "The Shield." According to ABC, he appeared in 89 episodes, which is the longest-running role of his career. TMZ also reports that April got involved in the actor's messy divorce to Bitterman and defended Michael telling a judge that he "provided a stable home for his child." TMZ claims she never mentioned the abuse claims to the judge.
