Beyonce broke down in tears on Thursday night, after expressing her gratitude for her fans, tour crew and supporters during the last show of her year-long Mrs. Carter World Tour.
"If you all don't know, tonight makes 132 shows," Beyonce said on March 27 at her final stop in Lisbon, Portugal. "Tonight is the last show of the Mrs. Carter Show. We started a year ago and I want to say, this has been such a journey. In the past year, we've been through so much together. The Super Bowl, shooting the videos, all of these shows. When I first started the tour, my baby was not even walking yet. I just want you to know that I am so lucky."
As Beyonce continued lauding her fans for their love and loyalty, she began to tear up.
"I'm giving y'all an ugly cry," she laughed, while the fans roared in response. She stopped speaking for a moment while looking out onto the crowd, both arms lifted.
"Thank y'all again," she continued. "Thank you for allowing me to have a career. When I fall, you lift me up. When I'm hungry, you feed me. And I just want to give you my light."
The singer then dedicated her hit single "XO" to the fans.
