Former President Donald Trump blamed Iran's unprecedented attack against Israel on President Joe Biden and claimed that he would have prevented it if he were America's commander in chief.

"The great weakness that we've shown is unbelievable and it would not have happened if we were in office," Trump told supporters during a campaign rally Saturday, according to the Hill. "You know that, they know that, everybody knows that."

Trump also pledged that if elected in November: "I will revive American strength abroad, and we will restore American strength at home."

Trump echoed the message in a post on Truth Social.

Israel said Sunday that it and its allies intercepted nearly all of the 300-plus drones and missiles that Iran launched in response to an April 1 attack on its embassy in Syria, where two Iranian generals were killed by airstrikes widely blamed on Israel.

During Trump's Saturday's rally in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, the presumptive Republican nominee said that America "prays for Israel," adding, "We send our absolute support to everyone in harm's way."

Trump's appearance in the battleground Keystone State was his last campaign event before he goes on trial Monday in New York City over accusations he tried to influence the 2016 election by paying hush money to adult film actor Stormy Daniels, who claims they had an affair in 2006.

Trump, the first former U.S. president to face criminal charges, denies the allegations and has pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts.

Trump also faces incdictments in Washington, D.C., Florida and Georgia over allegations involving the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, his hoarding of classified documents and efforts to overturn the results of the 2022 election he lost to Biden.
