Justin Timberlake confirmed speculation that he'll be releasing volume 2 of his album "The 20/20 Experience" in March. He announced the news of the second album during the release party.
It had been rumored for months that "The 20/20 Experience" was only the first part. Timberlake confirmed the news with Ryan Seacrest.
"I've got to clear up the rumors," he said during the launch. "This whole thing about this only being the first part...is true. There is another half."
This is the singer's first album since 2006 when he released "FutureSexLoveSounds." He took time out to focus on his acting career, starring in films such as "The Social Network" and "Friends with Benefits." He also told Seacrest that he waits so long in between albums because the whole process is special to him.
"I definitely enjoy all the entertaining but music is definitely the most special thing to me, and that's probably why I wait so long in between records, because for me, no pun intended, it's an experience," Timberlake said in an interview with Ryan Seacrest at the album release party.
Now the singer has announced even bigger news. "The 20/20 Experience Volume 2", the follow up album, is set to be released Sept. 30.
Timberlake broke the news on his Instagram account on Sunday with a picture of him playing a guitar in a recording studio. In the picture is a handwritten sign with the message "The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2) Sept. 30."
On his website, he announced a "20/20 Experience World Tour." The tour kicks off Oct. 31 in Montreal and will have the newly married singer traveling to 21 different cities.
The first part of the 20/20 album was a huge success for Timberlake. He sold 968,000 in its first week and became the fastest-selling album worldwide in iTunes history.
