CosMc's arrival was confirmed by McDonald's on Wednesday, Dec. 6, claiming that it is a new small-formant, beverage-led business concept that is "out of this world." The multinational food company said it plans to open CosMc's in around 10 locations across the United States. McDonald's is quite confident with its new business idea. The fast-food chain said CosMc's is powered by a bold menu and inspired by nostalgia. The American food company promised that the new Starbucks rival will offer refreshing beverages and tasty treats that all humans can soon enjoy.
"CosMc's seamlessly blends brand-new, otherworldly beverage creations with a small lineup of food, including a select few McDonald's favorites," said McDonald's via its official press release.
It claimed that all the food and drinks that CosMc's will offer can boost consumer's mood "into the stratosphere."
"CosMc's menu is rooted in beverage exploration, with bold and unexpected flavor combinations, vibrant colors, and functional boosts. You'll see a range of specialty lemonades and teas, indulgent blended beverages, and cold coffee," the American fast-food chain stated.
McDonald's provided some of the possible products of CosMc's, such as Tropical Spiceade, S'more Cold Brew, and Sour Cherry Energy Slush. Regarding overall experience, McDonald's said that CosMc's will have a uniquely seamless digital and drive-thru experience, just like the original McDonald character.

According to BBC's latest report, the CosMc's pilot is expected to open before December ends in a part of Chicago. If it is successful, McDonald's plans to open the new Starbucks rival in 10 other locations across the United States.
The fast-food giant said these ten branches could all open before 2024 ends. Around nine of these pilot branches could be located in Texas.
McDonald's said that throughout 2024, it will analyze the new coffeehouse business before deciding if it should be expanded to a larger-format chain.
This is just one of McDonald's efforts to grow its business. Previously, the American food company also announced that it would open 10,000 additional restaurants.
Most of these new branches will be located in China. McDonald's expects to complete its restaurant expansion by 2027.
