The deaths of Abigail Williams and Liberty German were allegedly part of a ritual sacrifice conducted by a white nationalist group believing in a pagan Norse religion.
This was shared by the murder suspect's attorneys, arguing that the Delphi man wasn't responsible for the killings of the two teenage girls.

On Monday, September 18, attorneys of murder suspect Richard Allen filed contend in court documents that their client is not responsible (or had anything to do with) for the deaths of Williams (13-year-old) and German (14-year-old).
They argued that these two girls were killed by members of a white nationalist group called Odinists, which believes in the pagan Norse religion "Odinism."
"Members of a pagan Norse religion, called Odinism, hijacked by white nationalists, ritualistically sacrificed Abigail Williams and Liberty German," said Allen's lawyers in their filing.
They added that Richard is not linked to Odinism or any religious cult. In their defense, the attorneys said two Odinist groups were investigated for their alleged crimes.
Had to make a detour to Delphi on the way to Chicago. This is the place where two children (Abigail Williams and Liberty German) were tragically murdered a few years ago… the case is/was wild, and sad… Luckily they did arrest someone finally. pic.twitter.com/qP1CWAFSl8

One was from the Rushville area, which is located in southeastern Indiana. Meanwhile, the second group is from the Delphi area, as reported by NBC News.
They claim that investigators discovered numerous ritualistic symbols at the crime scene. These include how Liberty's body was positioned.
As of writing, the Carroll County prosecutor's office hasn't commented regarding the claims of Richard's attorneys.

After sharing the 130-page filing with the court, attorneys Bradley Rozzia and Andrew Baldwin said they want a Franks Hearing. The Daily Mail UK explained that Allen's lawyers are making this request because they believe investigators might have withheld information from a judge.
This could also mean investigators intentionally lied to get a search warrant.
“Will we ever be done grieving, mourning? No”: More than five years after the deaths of teenagers Abigail Williams and Liberty German in Delphi, Indiana, officials have arrested a suspect in the case.

"Due to either incompetence or a concerted intentionality, those in charge of the investigation refused to arrest or even properly investigate these obvious suspects," said Baldwin and Rozzi.
Aside from the Franks Hearing, the attorneys are asking officials to question the search warrant's validity and move the alleged murderer to another facility.
The two girls were found dead near the Monon High Bridge on February 14, 2017. After the tragedy, Delphi has been haunted by their deaths. Right now, the families of the two victims are still seeking justice. If you want to learn more about the Delphi murders case, you can click this link.
