According to TMZ's latest report, two agents of the Transportation Security Administration were caught red-handed while stealing money.

The TSA officers were identified as Josue Gonzales and Labarrius Williams. Authorities said that these two criminals were working in tandem as they scoped out bags.

They were on duty at the Miami International Airport in late June, as well as in early July. The police affidavit confirmed that they were both stealing money from carry-ons.

In the viral video, you can see that the two TSA agents were always standing at the airport carousel while constantly looting for cash.

To avoid getting caught by passengers, they were stuffing their hands inside the bags. After that, they will securely grab the stolen cash and put it into their pockets.

The New York Post reported that the Gonzales and Williams were arrested in July. They are now facing criminal charges, specifically getting involved in an organized defraud scheme.

Aside from these two criminals, another TSA officer named Elizabeth Fuster was also charged with grand theft. Unfortunately, the case against the woman, who was accused of stealing $600 from a passenger's wallet, was dismissed.

The latest crime involving TSA agents is certainly alarming since these officers are supposed to be the ones who are protecting the belongings of passengers.

Unfortunately, some of them just can't help taking advantage of their positions. This is why it is important to ensure that your cash is secured while traveling.

If you love traveling and prefer carrying cash, then you can follow these tips provided by Love The Maldives to protect your money and other valuables:

  • The Transportation Security Administration has no restrictions when it comes to how much money passengers want to carry. But, the best thing you can do is just carry the proper amount of cash you'll use on your vacation.
  • You can try using a money belt, especially one that looks like a regular belt, to secure your money.
  • If you have clothes with hidden pockets, you can put your cash inside those so your money will always be with you.
  • If you are a woman, you can put your money in your bra or inside a hair brush's handles.
  • Some individuals also use their shoes to secure their money. You can try this as well.
