  • Charcoal Grill: Relies on charcoals. Easy to move around and adds a smoky flavor to grilled meat.
  • Gas Grill: Easier and cheaper to use. But moving it won't be easy once the grill is in place.
  • Pellet Grill: Uses wood pellets. It also adds a smoky flavor to the meat. However, wood pellets can be quite expensive.

Aside from fuel type, you also need to know the right size for your grill. If you are inviting relatives and friends, then a larger grill is a must. But, if it is only you and your family, an average size grill is good enough.

Of course, you also need to check if the grill has additional features. These include a timer, temperature checker, and a monitor. Some smart grills even have their own apps so you can monitor your food via your smartphone.
