Authorities resumed search efforts to find actor Julia Sands several months after he went missing while hiking.
According to ABC News, search efforts to find British actor Julian Sands have been reignited after five long and agonizing months.
Julia Sands Search Resumes, San Bernardino Sheriffs Confirm

The talented actor vanished without a trace, leaving fans and loved ones concerned about his well-being. Now, authorities and dedicated search teams are ramping up their efforts, determined to shed light on the mysterious disappearance and bring Sands back to safety.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed that search operations have resumed in full force. In a press release, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department says they "continued ongoing search efforts in the Mount Baldy wilderness for missing hiker Julian Sands."
As Variety reports, a search team, which includes 80 search and rescue volunteers and deputies, and staff, are combing through rugged terrains, dense forests, and even urban areas in their relentless pursuit to find the actor. However, to their dismay, the Sheriff's office says they failed to find him.
On top of that, the authorities disclosed that their search efforts involved two helicopters and a drone crew, which flew above the remote areas of Mount Baldy in hopes of locating the actor. The drones helped the search efforts by giving a bird's eye view of areas that are impossible for volunteers to comb through.
Variety notes that the 'Warlock' actor has prior experience in hiking before climbing Mount Baldy. However, due to the extreme weather conditions in the area last winter, Sands went missing.

Actor Went Missing in California

The 'A Room With a View' star went missing last January in the Mount Baldy Bowl area. The Hollywood Reporter reports the 60-year-old actor reportedly vanished last January 13 at around 7:30 pm, the authorities disclosed.
He disappeared amid the extreme weather in the San Gabriel Mountains, where it was snowy and icy, and strong winds also hurled toward the high terrain. The Sheriff's Department describes the conditions in the mountains as "adverse and extremely dangerous."
After nearly five months of intensive search, the actor is still nowhere to be seen. The Sheriff's department says they have taken charge of at least eight searches since he went missing in early 2023.
Only now, some portions of Mount Baldy are still covered in ice and snow, making it impossible for the search volunteers to go through the steep terrains.
But despite that, the authorities are still looking for the actor and experienced hiker. However, officials confirm that their search operations will continue, albeit in a limited capacity.
