Trade rumors keep on rolling even though the NBA regular season is going to Week 6. In a suggested rumored deal, the Chicago Bulls are said to be looking to upgrade their frontline and are interested in acquiring Paul Millsap from the Atlanta Hawks. And it seems that they trying to have him before the trade deadline.

The Hawks, who have a blistering start of 12-2, are on a recent slump losing their last 6 games. Losing 9 games out of 10, they are currently holding a 10-11 record and some pundits are saying that they have to shake up their roster that might change their fortunes. And it appears that the Bulls are interested in making a deal with them.

A proposed trade deal is being suggested to the Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bulls that involves 3 players and a future draft pick. Trade scenario is suggesting that the Hawks will send Paul Millsap to the Bulls in exchange for Nikola Mirotic, Denzel Valentine, and a protected first-round draft pick. Some say that deal seems to be viable for both teams by looking at the assets they acquire.

The Hawks will get two young talented players in Valentine (23) and Mirotic (25) in exchange for an aging player. Aside from that, they will also obtain a protected first-round draft choice from the Bulls that could be a valuable player come draft night. It will also release some pressure from them whether they are willing to pay Millsap a max deal as an old player when he becomes a free agent in 2018.

On the other hand, the Bulls will get another NBA superstar that will make them a contender this season. Though the Bulls are doing well this season, having Millsap in the Bulls lineup surely will give some scare to other teams in the East. Millsap who is averaging 16.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 18 games this season will definitely give the Bulls an added boost on offense.

However, one roadblock is preventing this transaction from happening. The trade deal will not work under NBA trade rules and salary cap restriction as per checking with ESPN NBA Trade Machine as the Bulls will be over the salary cap once they absorb Millsap's salary.

Even though the Chicago Bulls are interested in acquiring Paul Millsap from the Atlanta Hawks, league official will not approve the deal unless Chicago will send another player to the Hawks that will match the salary of Millsap to the salary of combined players from the Bulls.
