Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away in July 2015 at age 22, about six months after she was found unconscious and unresponsive in her bathtub. Since the young daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston spent those months in a coma, the exact cause of her death had not yet been known to the public, but on Thursday, a superior court judge ordered the release of her sealed autopsy results.

After Atlanta's WXIA-TV news station requested that the Superior Court of Fulton County lift the order sealing her autopsy report, despite the fact that the investigation is still going on, the Fulton County Medical Examiner finally revealed the results on Friday, her 23rd birthday.

The report revealed that Bobbi Kristina died from "Lobar pneumonia" due to a combination of drugs and drowning. Within the toxicology report, it was discovered that there was marijuana, alcohol, a "cocaine-related substance," sedative and anti-anxiety medications and morphine in her system. It could not be determined if the morphine came from heroin use. Since Bobbi Kristina spent time sumberged in the water, along with the mix of drugs in her system, pneumonia and brain damage were the immediate resulting causes of her death.

Her father, Bobby, is not pleased that her cause of death has been made public. "First and foremost, 23 years ago today, Bobbi Kristina was born. Krissy will always live in my heart and soul. I love my baby girl," he said in a statement. "For news affiliates to seek and obtain my daughter's autopsy report, before anyone has been brought to justice for her death is mind blowing to me. Please pray for my family."

His lawyer, Christopher Brown, also released a statement of his own. "Yesterday we were informed that two news affiliates were granted access to the autopsy of Bobbi Kristina Brown," he said. "While this action is unsettling, we will continue in our efforts in the civil lawsuit and the criminal investigation. Bobby Brown has had to be strong and mourn his loved ones in a fashion that is foreign to most people. So public, so raw, with apparently no end in sight. Hopefully public indictments and prosecution will lead to private healing and closure for Bobby Brown and his family."

Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend Nick Gordon is currently facing a $10 million wrongful death lawsuit, which was filed by her conservator in August. The documents claim that Gordon gave her a "toxic cocktail" and placed her in the bathtub, but his layer Jose Baez has said that the lawsuit against Gordon "is slanderous and meritless."
