TripAdvisor has announced its integration with Microsoft's search engine Bing Thursday.
TripAdvisor's reviews, ratings, images and other relevant information of different places are now visible and fixed into Microsoft's Bing.com and Bing Smart Search results on Windows 8.1 devices.
Through this partnership, travelers will have an easy way planning and booking for their next destination.
When planning for a trip, what we usually do next to choosing a place is finding cheap fares available and a good place to stay in for the vacation. All of these things are accessible through the world's leading traveling website's industry-leading meta search tool.
Additionally, we also look for reviews about our destination and through the enhanced features of TripAdvisor in Bing search results, travelers will gain access to more than 125 million reviews, guides and opinions topping over three million tourist spots, restaurants and accommodations around the world.
To date, this is the first time TripAdvisor has partnered with a search engine since its founding date in 2000. The partnership offers holidaymakers and vacationers juicy information plus a range of affordable fare prices when searched for in Bing. Therefore, Bing users will have easy access to the most important information they needed to make their next planned vacation smooth and exciting.
According to the survey conducted by the travel website, 93 percent of travelers around the world greatly consider what they see and read in online reviews in planning and choosing things for their next trip.
Nathan Clapton, TripAdvisor's vice president of global mobile partnerships, told the Wall Street Journal, "Research shows that hotel prices can differ by as much as 25 percent between different booking providers, and we are focused on helping travellers make an informed decision."
"By offering Bing users an easy way to find the best hotel prices and see reviews, rating and photos from other travellers directly on Bing, we are enhancing the search and planning experience, and hopefully saving them time and money," he added.
A TripAdvisor app was also introduced in Windows 8.1 and it is now downloadable in the Windows Store. The app includes features that lives up to the company's promise of giving travelers a chance to prepare and experience the best trip ever.
