Teresa Giudice is taking full advantage of her freedom in the New Year. The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star was released from prison a little over a week ago and has finally returned to social media with her first tweet in 2016.

"Wishing everyone a healthy and happy New Year from our family to yours!" Giudice captioned a picture on Twitter of her family including husband Joe Giudice and their three daughters Gia, Milania, Gabriella and Audriana. The picture showed the family all wearing color coordinated clothing as they stood in front of a Christmas tree. The last time the reality star tweeted was in September when she said she was watched Pope Francis on TV and was crying.

While this was the first time Giudice broke her social media silence, it was not the first time spoke out since she was released from prison where she served time for fraud. On Dec. 30, Bravo released a video of her inside her home in New Jersey where she shared a kind message with her fans.

"Hi, everyone! I'm back. I just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year. It's going to be a great 2016. Love, love, love you all, muah," she said as she blew a kiss to the camera.

The New Year may be looking like a good one for Giudice, but not her husband. Joe still has to serve his 41 month sentence for the same crime as his wife. The couple took a plea that would allow them to serve time separately so at least one of them could be home with their four children, according to Entertainment Tonight. Joe is expected to head to prison in March.
