Four Oklahoma Inmates Escape Through Prison Shower; Manhunt Underway

Authorities are on a manhunt for four prison inmates in Oklahoma who escaped through the jail's shower on Sunday, Fox 4 reported.

The group of men -- identified as Prime Tounwin Brown, Triston Cheadle, Anthony James Mendonca, and Dylan Ray Three Irons -- got through a trap door above the shower and crawled through the plumbing system.

After getting through the system, they exited from a door that was not attached to the detention center.

"All they had to do was push the door and walk out because it's not in the jail," said Caddo County Sheriff Gene Cain.

The inmates were reportedly last seen at a car wash located one block away from where they escaped.

Cheadle was awaiting trial for an armed robbery charge while the rest of the men were already sentenced. Mendonca was convicted of resisting arrest and carrying a concealed weapon, Brown for a second-degree burglary, and Three Irons for a probation violation.

Oklahoma authorities are continuing their search and have asked that anyone with information call police.

Earlier in October, authorities in Florida announced their hunt for two inmates who escaped from prison with the help of forged documents that allowed for their release.

Charles Walker and Joseph Jenkins were arrested Oct. 19 at a Panama City hotel, according to hte Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Though the two men escaped the jail through fooling the state's corrections department, they did not admit being at fault for the occurrence.

"We are, of course, happy they have been taken into custody," agency spokeswoman Jessica Carey said.

The families of both men played an instrumental part in the search for the men.

"We just want you to surrender yourself to someone you trust who will bring you back in safely," said Walker's mother Lillie Danzy at a news conference.

Henry Pearson, Jenkins' uncle, also asked for their safe return to police.
