Michelle Obama Covers Vogue For The Second Time

First lady Michelle Obama will appear on the cover of Vogue magazine's April issue, making it her second Vogue cover appearance.

According to The Washington Post, fashion journalist Robin Givhan revealed the first lady's appearance in Vogue. She's been photographed for the U.S edition of the magazine wearing an outfit by her favorite designers, Reed Krakoff.

This is the first lady's second appearance on the cover of the magazine. Back in 2009, Obama appeared on the magazine's March issue cover. She was shot by Annie Leibovitz, who failed to get Obama to do a photo shoot for the magazine.

Vogue has not responded to Mail Online's request for comment on the story. However, White House officials have confirmed that Leibovitz has been visiting the White house. CBS White House correspondent Mark Knoller also witnessed Leibovitz's appearance and tweeted, "Today at the WH... Vogue is bringing camera gear into the WH this morning."

He also confirmed that a Vogue reporter was on the flight during Barack Obama's visit to Las Vegas. While most models usually are told what they should wear for the cover shoot of the magazine, Obama reportedly chose her own clothes.

"She doesn't need any help. She loves fashion and knows what works for her," Vogue's editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley said. "She's never had a conversation with me about, "What do you think?" or "How did this look?" And I'm glad for that."

Though Obama chose to wear Reed Krakoff for the cover, she also poses in a Michael Kors ball skirt and sweater in the magazine, The Washington Post reports. However, her choice for the cover has its own significance. She also wore a Reed Krakoff outfit in her latest official portrait and for the President's swearing-in.
