Miami (5-0, 1 ACC) hopes to remain perfect on the season when they visit the Tar Heels on Thursday. With the Hurricanes' hot start, Miami coach Al Golden doesn't want his team to become complacent - especially against a conference opponent.

"At the end of the season we'll count them up and see where we're at," Hurricanes coach Al Golden said, via ESPN. "We're 0-0 going into this game. All that matters right now is going to Chapel Hill, being a mature team, having poise, playing with pose, communicating, executing. The rest of it doesn't really matter."

Golden will look for offensive production behind quarterback Stephen Morris and running back Duke Johnson. Through the first five games, Morris completed 61.7 percent of his passes for 950 yards, nine touchdowns and four interceptions; Johnson has rushed for 572 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 6.8 yards per game.

Both Morris and Johnson stepped up in last week's game against Georgia Tech, helping the Hurricanes overcome a 17-7 first quarter deficit to defeat Tech, 45-30.

"You really don't have any leadership until you have a bead of sweat and the crap hits the fan," Golden said. "And that's what happened. I think we learned a lot about our team. We had great leadership through that, we had great poise, but it did look bleak."

North Carolina (1-4, 0-2 ACC), meanwhile, looks to turn their season around with a win over visiting Miami. Tar Heels quarterback Bryn Renner is expected to play on Thursday after being sidelined with an ankle injury, ESPN reports.
