Yesterday, Bravo announced that it was adding two more locations to its successful "The Real Housewives" series in Potomac, Md. and in Dallas. The Dallas version of the show was long rumored to be in development at the network, but the Potomac series came as more of a shock to longtime viewers of the show.

Set just up the river from Washington D.C., Potomac is a high-class suburb that was named CNN Money's most affluent town in America in 2013, and with a population of just under 45,000 people, it's the biggest city in America to boast a median income of over $240,000, according to the New York Daily News.

"It's rolling hills, gated mansions, sophisticated prep schools, and exclusive country clubs all serve to keep the area invitation-only," the synopsis for the show read. "Sprinkled throughout this community are a handful of old-line, wealthy African-American families who have historically broken racial barriers to provide a life of privilege for their children."

While the cast for the Dallas location has not yet been announced, the cast of Potomac has. "The Real Housewives of Potomac" will star Gizelle Bryant, Katie Rost, Karen Huger, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan, Robyn Dixon and Ashley Darby, "all of whom have fought for their places in this society by way of legacy or marriage." Meet the cast below.

Ashley Darby

Ashley Darby is a Maryland native with a spicy personality and an unmatched drive to succeed, according to her biography on Bravo. Darby is a former winner of the Miss District of Columbia Pageant and just married an Australian real-estate millionaire who is 29 years older than her. She now plays step-mother to his two adult children and attends galas and charity events. Darby has a dream of breaking through into the food industry and is opening up a restaurant.

Charrissee Jackson-Jordan

Charrissee Jackson-Jordan is the wife of former NBA star Eddie Jordan and is a dedicated mother and socialite. She is in the inner-circle of the Potomac elite and prides herself on being a dependable friend and confidant. She is a social butterfly who is known for throwing extravagant parties and events. While she does love to party, her real passion is giving back. Jackson-Jordan has raised millions of dollars for organizations such as Feed the Children, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

She has been married to her husband for 17 years, and credits their long marriage to distance; she and her player-turned-coach spend much of their marriage apart. Her number one priority is her two teenage children who she raises with absolutely zero nannies.

Karen Huger

Karen Huger is the Grande Dame of Potomac and is known for throwing over-the-top parties at her home in the most desirable section of Potomac with her husband, Raymond, and their two children. Her husband is a technology entrepreneur and the president and CEO of a highly successful information technology company. She has dedicated her life to her family and is dreading the day she has an empty nest.

Katie Rost

Viewers may recognize Katie Rost as an international model and TV personality. She was born and reain in Potomac and comes from a very well-off philanthropic and biracial family. She married her college sweetheart and they had three children but soon decided to divorce. She moved her children back to the town where she grew up in order to raise them "properly." She is currently dating one of Potomac's most eligible bachelors, Andrew, an investment executive, but has no plans to settle down anytime soon. Katie and her mother run the Ronald F. Rost Charitable Foundation in memory of Katie's late father, who died in 2000.

Gizelle Bryant

Gizelle Bryant is a single mother of three who also juggles a jam-packed social life. She was raised by very prominent and powerful parents who set the tone for her path in their work in government and philanthropy. Bryant was once married to Jamal Bryant, a megachurch pastor/activist, and moved from Baltimore to Potomac once her marriage crumbled.

Bryant likes to keep herself busy with multiple philanthropy projects. She is currently working with the city council of Birmingham, Ala. and an event to raise money for a number of local charities. She is also venturing into a new make-up line that is marketed towards women of color and plans to launch the products in 2016.

Robyn Dixon

Robyn Dixon is the wife of former NBA player Juan Dixon. The two were high school sweethearts and moved to Potomac to raise their two athletic sons. The couple decided to part ways but still continue to live together and remain extremely close. She is a full time single mom of her two young boys, seven-year-old Corey and six-year-old Carter. She recently launched her career as a publicist and event manager at TAA PR, a public relations, marketing, and special-events boutique specializing in luxury lifestyle, fashion and hospitality in Washington, DC.

"The Real Housewives Of Potomac" premieres on Bravo on Sunday Jan. 17, 9 p.m. EST/8 p.m. CT and "The Real Housewives of Dallas" will premiere later in 2016.
